Webster Technique
The female body undergoes physical changes to accommodate a growing baby. These changes usually come with some pain and discomfort.
The GREAT NEWS is…there is help! Chiropractic care, specifically the Webster technique, greatly benefits both the mother and the unborn child.

What to Expect
Pregnancy is an exciting time. You will be carrying your child inside you for nine months. This can put a strain on you.
Webster Technique Explained
Babies can get in the breech position even after 34-weeks. There are a number of reasons this could happen, the main reason is stress and torque on the uterus because of the pelvis being misaligned.
As your pregnancy progresses, a hormone known as relaxin is released. The purpose of the hormone is to cause the ligaments to soften and stretch. This is what allows your pelvis to spread to create room for the birth of the baby. However, your pelvis can also get out of alignment during this time.
The Webster technique, named after Dr. Larry Webster, is used to address intrauterine constraint. The Webster technique is known to be far less invasive than the typical obstetric solution.

Benefits of the Webster Technique
The main aim of the technique is to realign the pelvis because a pelvis that is out of alignment can cause the baby not to move. Here are just a few of the benefits:
-
- Helps the baby have room to turn
- Reduces the chances of having a cesarean section
- Aids in faster recovery after birth as compared to c-section births
Is the Webster Technique Safe?
The technique is very safe, and it is effective. It is not a baby turning technique, so there is no direct external force applied to the baby. It is also performed gently.
