We also offer Cupping and Hot Stone Massage to enhance your experience and your healing. Our massage therapists can also work hand in hand with your chiropractor for a total integrative approach to your treatment plan of care.

ACE Massage Cupping

During a massage cupping session, small cups are placed on the skin to create suction. The suction causes the skin and superficial muscle layer to be lightly drawn into the cup loosening the muscles and tissue. By creating suction and vacuum pressure, ACE Massage Cupping is used to soften tight muscles, loosen adhesions and bring hydration and blood flow to the body tissues. The creation of vacuum pressure allows the suction to go deep into the body tissues to bring deep inflammation, excess fluids and toxins to the surface for release. The suction can affect tissues up to four inches deep from the external skin to help treat pain, deep scar tissues in the muscles and connective tissue, trigger points, and swelling.

Prenatal Massage Therapy

Our office is equipped with a specialized pregnancy table that allows pregnant women to lie face down to achieve the full massage experience. A prenatal massage can help to provide muscular relaxation to women through pregnancy. Gentle pressure is applied to the areas that a woman feels need to be addressed.

Hormone regulation benefits
Studies over the past 10 years have revealed that hormone levels related to relaxation and stress are altered when massage therapy is introduced to women’s prenatal care. This helps with mood regulation as well as better cardiovascular health. Tests have shown that in women who had bi-weekly massages for only five weeks, hormones such as norepinephrine and cortisol (hormones associated with stress) were reduced, and dopamine and serotonin levels were increased.

These changes in hormone levels also led to fewer complications during birth and fewer instances of newborn complications, such as low birth weight. The evidence strongly suggests there are maternal and newborn health benefits when therapeutic massage is incorporated into regular prenatal care.

Reduction of swelling
Edema, or swelling of the joints during pregnancy, is often caused by reduced circulation and increased pressure on the major blood vessels by the heavy uterus. Massage helps to stimulate soft tissues to reduce the collection of fluids in swollen joints. This also improves the removal of tissue waste carried by the body’s lymph system. Improvement of nerve pain
Sciatic nerve pain is experienced by many women in late pregnancy as the uterus rests on muscles of the pelvic floor and lower back. The pressure of the uterus spreads tension to the muscles of the upper and lower leg, causing them to swell and put pressure on nearby nerves. Massage therapy addresses inflamed nerves by helping to release the tension in nearby muscles. Many women have experienced a significant reduction in sciatic nerve pain during pregnancy through massage.

Many of our prenatal patients combine the benefits of Prenatal Massage with Chiropractic Treatment. Our top quality, Board-Certified doctors have additional certifications and expertise in Webster Technique.

Webster Technique

As your pregnancy progresses, a hormone known as relaxin is released. The purpose of the hormone is to cause the ligaments to soften and stretch. This is what allows your pelvis to spread to create room for the birth of the baby. However, your pelvis can also get out of alignment during this time.

The main aim of the technique is to realign the pelvis because a pelvis that is out of alignment can cause the baby not to move effectively through the birth cancel or into their ideal positions.

The technique is very safe, and it is effective. It is not a baby turning technique, so there is no direct external force applied to the baby. It is also performed gently. Learn More about the Webster Technique
